In July 2022, Volunteer Pilot Doug Oakley took the Cape Fear Riverkeeper Kemp Burdette, and Alice Driver and Jacqueline Muniello, writer and photographer from the Bitter Southerner, on an aerial tour of concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs) in North Carolina.
